Started without restarts on slow roads. Valeska has only 1 stack, but there are several good heroes instead. Decided to level up Clavius for the skeletons. Near the castle there is a Dragon Utopia, conservation, stables, and a griffin external dwelling. Soon I also find an archer external dwelling. There were issues with wood, so the result of the first week: horses in the Stronghold + griffins.
At the end of the first and beginning of the second week, I take one 20-stack of dwarves each. On turn 121, I enter the castle to buy a book and prepare to take the level-3 conservation without greed (sacrificed a pawn). 122 - I take the conservation with heavy losses: 3 horses, about 30 crossbowmen, 50 skeletons, and an offering (animoral, damn it). As for magic, I had slow and shield without earth and blessing without water. I leveled air but never found haste throughout the game. I also dig up Tamika, which is generally good.
ГО - more than a hundred greed liches, but I see an exit from the underground behind ГО. I aim to go around, especially since there is also an entrance to the underground near the castle. Scouted the underground; it turned out to be a necro-secondary (!) with a skeleton external dwelling nearby. At the respawn, I took another griffin external dwelling and broke through to the main secondary. I ignored the swamp secondary, and another one (which turned out to be the home town) was too far to run to. To hell with it, if I'll be at the opponent's respawn in a couple of turns.
On the 3rd week, I bring the growth, collect money, and move toward the exit to the opponent's respawn, using air sight beforehand. There are no parameters anywhere, no mass magic either, but I feel the opp is also not doing great (didn't see a single decent hero in the tavern), and 450 skeletons should decide it. On turn 134, I break through to the surface and in the last seconds enter the opp's castle, not even having time to arrange my army. No assault followed.
Thanks for the game.
P.S. It seems the opp dumped Solmyr (?), but didn't ask for an auto-save. If that's the case - respect.
Also, I had a nasty bug (playing on SoD-HD): one fine day I decided to split my 2 remaining horses, after which they became 0+1; no keyboard dancing helped (didn't ask for an auto-save). That's how I gifted a horse (on the second turn). Has anyone else had this?
