Ah, but they are cherished, and that's why there are wars – because they are ready to give their lives for a heroic victory, and if you are too cautious, you will lose a lot. Heroes are born in battles and are often recognized as such after death. I'm waiting to sit down at the computer and destroy the attacking army's catapults with my castle, as they say, to practice. The problem is that the computer rarely allows castles to withstand a serious army, and that's a shame.
