It's not my fault that you have such acquaintances (and I've seen them). You need to be able to judge people, not lump everyone together or jump to conclusions. If you were raised differently, you wouldn't understand that when someone makes a joke, they might not actually be thinking about something vulgar.
If you were a guy, you'd understand that a man probably wouldn't call what you thought he called a "pipe."
Seriously, it's like dealing with a child.
