Except for the first paragraph and the last sentence. They all woke up right at the end of the flight, even though they used the ejection. In reality, they shouldn't have slept for even an hour, judging by the time spent in the first layer, and they couldn't have left the first layer at all, since no one woke them up from the outside. I suppose, after the ejections, they slept the rest of the time "without dreams"? Skepticism.
What does the fact that one of the participants was in a dream have to do with it? If that were possible, the hero and his wife wouldn't have had any problems; they could have dealt with her, as well as with any other projections.

The film clearly doesn't show at what specific time they woke up; they simply wake up in the plane, and the next scene shows them already at the airport. Maybe an hour was enough for them, and they just chatted about life for the rest of the time. Also, the film doesn't really show how they got out of the first dream; in theory, they should have woken up because of the plane crash, but they somehow ended up on the shore. I've never considered the fact that the old man on the third level said something meaningful as a plot hole; rather, you can simply imagine it yourself, as well as the fact that the film doesn't explain the principle of operation of this device that immerses them in the General dream. I'm more interested in why Robert Fischer, after waking up in the plane, doesn't remember that the people next to him were in his dream; it seems that memory is preserved after sleep. Well, in general, there are always some plot holes and inaccuracies in films.
