Yeah, but to turn a peasant into a Knight, and then into a Paladin, you need a lot of money. Because to turn 250 peasants into archers, I had to spend about 70,000, and another 20,000 on upgrades. But with the Necropolis, skeleton archers grow for free, like mushrooms.
And money... you can save it up :)
