Since we're on the subject and people often split hairs left and right, I'll do some hair-splitting too :) In fact: SoD is a product created by the copyright holder of the "Heroes" brand in the form they envisioned it. Since no official refinements were made, the game fully corresponds to the functionality defined by the author. TE and VT are merely private modifications of the original (better or worse—that's not the point) and have no right to call themselves "Heroes" (unless, of course, they buy the copyright :)). So formally, VT is "castrated Heroes" :)
