There's little to no connection on the outskirts, that's 100% true. There is connection within the ring road, that's also true. By chance, I usually travel outside the ring road, and it's not such a large area compared to the rest.

Outskirts... what do you mean by that? The Butovskaya line? Or something like Mitino, Volokolamskoye highway? Because, on the Sokolnicheskaya line, at least from Vernadsky Prospekt, the connection is good. If you take the very last station, the connection is also good at Krasnogvardeyskaya.
