If harpies exist on the island of Paao, does that mean that in the future (i.e., in Heroes of Might and Magic V) they will become wyverns, or rather, Paao-kai?

No, it means that by the time of the fifth installment, the Paao-kai have already eaten all the harpies.

And in general, the orcs are quite good, quite decent. Although, it seems that over the next few hundred years, they managed to become quite mongolized, which is a little disappointing. And there will definitely not be wyverns in the faction, because they are essentially dragons.
