Actually, the rules for FB and OFB are practically the same. What's the point of striving for FB if it's not interesting?

The point is to play against strong opponents who have a competitive motivation, and that's obvious.
And the fact that the selection process provides only one and a half (!) places instead of the stated 3 is, of course, very cool. And, judging by the topic, I'm not the only one who finds this surprising.
