I disagree. A couple of weeks ago, I rewatched them all in a row. There's an obvious pattern: the further you go, the worse they get. The fourth one is still decent compared to the following ones.

But, for example, The Prestige, which I just finished watching, I really enjoyed. It's a great movie. Even the somewhat unconventional fantasy ending doesn't spoil the impression; the movie is just that good. It didn't make me want to fast-forward or turn it off for a single second; instead, it sparked a burning curiosity throughout the viewing.
