In general, only Sleen is useless at the end of the game, but he is very helpful at the beginning of the game with his "hellish barrage" :). Zerok, as I said, has very good "stone spikes", Lina has "ice ball" and "Gismo", and the Reaper has all good skills, although "wrath gathering" is the least useful.
