Why wasn't there an Academy in Heroes 3 and 4? There was, but in Heroes 3 it was called a Tower, and in Heroes 4 it was called Haven.
The name was simply changed in Heroes 5. It was even in Heroes 2 and was called "Wizards". I just think that here it took on some kind of eastern character, so it had to be drawn differently.
