Мафия 23. The Rockland tavern

Now, here's a question.
If the Ranger protected someone from the Mafia, then Host was killed by the Maniac, and only by him. But this "double" method of killing is confusing... first, he was chopped up, then burned... maybe both the Maniac and the Mafia chose him? :confused:
Then what was the Ranger doing at Derel's door? Maybe he left arrows as a threat to the Paladin's killer? Maybe Derel wasn't being protected, but rather threatened?

One thing is clear: if the killing was a double kill, then Host was a Paladin, and if not, he was a Mercenary. But then we need to understand what the burning means. After all, the Maniac with the axe has no magical abilities.

Another wild, convoluted version has emerged: Host was a Mercenary, but died protecting the Assassin (Nairu) from the Maniac. And the Mafia was going to kill Derel, but the Ranger protected him.

But none of the versions where Host was a "bad guy" explains why he was burned. :mad:

A fire mushroom, so to speak. And did anyone try to look for "Brondy"? Or the text in an unknown language?

True, the search is difficult. I only found a hair dye color and a farm in Poland when searching for "Brondy" (specifically with a capital letter in the newspaper).

Have you tried reading the game's lore? :D Brondy is the mountains next to which our tavern is located. On Kyle's avatar, a mushroom grows next to a chain of mountains - well, we can't really call them the Alps, can we?
