What does this fix?

The ampersand before the symbol assigns a hotkey. For example, the 1280 x 1024 resolution could be set using Alt + 2. The "patch" changes the default hotkey to Alt + 1, although we see that this combination is already occupied by the 1024 x 768 mode. I tried to be constructive.
