No, it wasn't sarcasm. The brownish-gray graphics of the third Heroes game don't compare to the vibrant sprites of the second game or the cozy, soft landscapes of the fourth game. IMHO There's no atmosphere either. Maybe it exists in M&M, but definitely not in HoMM 3. A zoo wanders through the brownish-gray landscapes. Apart from a couple of castles, none of them look cohesive. The units don't look organic – they're some kind of grotesque creatures gathered from all sorts of myths and randomly mixed together. IMHO
I think everyone knows Richard Psmith and his attitude towards certain aspects of the Heroes games.
And where is he now, your Psmith? He's resting. He won't be able to play the sixth game and evaluate the factions.
