25.11.2010 Neverminder (Red, Fortress, Tazar, Tazar) def Cergo (Blue, Castle, Valeska, Valeska) 2sm4d(3) 146 Without further delay, we played the second one. It turned out to be a completely different game! The start was pretty uneventful. On the third day, there wasn't even anything to spend the gold on, and Tazar had to go into a crypt. Maxi, damn it! Many thanks to the author of the article in the "Tough Battles" thread, otherwise I wouldn't have gotten out. It got a bit easier, and I got logistics, and in the crypt, besides the coveted money, there was an artifact +1 morale/luck. After that, in one battle, the lizardmen struck with luck three times in a row. That was funny. Found an external dwelling of gorgons and lizardmen. I take the pre-Mini crypt, go into another one. What the heck, maxi again! And the army had already thinned out. But Tazar is Tazar — I got out. However, now there's money to buy up everything that's built, to take the external dwelling of cows, and also to buy those cows there. By the end of the week, 1-6 in the Citadel + market, bought cows with lizardmen, at the end of the week I took a Rampart secondary hero. Got tactics. I go into the crypt at the Rampart respawn — I'm lucky with maxi today. But with cows and Wyverns, it's a different story, of course. Got earth magic. Returned to my home respawn, from where I broke a path into the underground, but there wasn't a dungeon there, as I expected to plant a portal, but Necropolis, I didn't run to it, left. There, by the way, it was pretty extreme. The lizardmen went for an upgrade, I only fought with 9 cows and 2 Wyverns. First against 40 water elementals, then against 80 unupgraded marksmen. But expert tactics, and still Tazar — no losses. Only in the middle of the second week did I see the GO. It was funny: 50-99 champions standing twice. Some on the swamp, others on the grass. As if cloned. But no time for them yet, of course, earth magic is basic, stats are nothing. Valya, by the way, has almost the same stats, maybe loses by a couple of points. On the third week I went into the treasure zone, where I immediately found 2 hives. One with 8 Wyverns, the other turned out to be the minimum. But 4 free Wyverns is wonderful. Got archery! I'll be damned. Nearby there was a helm of the abyss, but behind 5-9 archangels, which I really didn't want to fight. What if there are 9 of them? Went lower, and on day 134 I saw Valya. No attack followed, but by viewing the turn I saw that Valya has flight. That's all I needed. I think for a long time about what to do, I decide to go back anyway, expert earth magic and hit the GO before I get caught off-guard. Valya ruins my chain, and I'm one hex short of reaching her. I reached with a scout with 15 Wyverns and 7 cows, on the other side there was 1 angel, 60 marksmen, 2 spell points, but in the end I still didn't dare to fight, and Valya flew off. From that day on, Tazar had to camp with the army, so his speed decreased. Killed the archangels for the helm — what else could I do. Broke through home, where after a couple of fights I finally got expert earth. On day 143 with 14 points, taking only lizardmen, cows and Wyverns, I broke through the swamp champions, on day 144 I went to the well to refill mana. On day 145 I broke through the champions on the grass and captured the opponent's main town. My stats 14-19-9-10, and Valya unexpectedly shows in the tavern 12-13-12-13. "Busted a Dragon Utopia," says Cergo. Valya sits in her Conflux secondary to refill mana. On day 146 I cast visions and decide to attack. In the tough final battle, I managed to hold out and force the blue player to capitulate. Thanks for the game and an excellent, tense finale!
