Yes, he's the owner of the company. A businessman. He's not greedy or a profiteer; he just prefers gold. Unlike many fantasy adventurers, he doesn't mask his motivation with something pseudo-noble. And again, I like his voice acting and portrait. He's also sincere, not easily offended, and not a self-righteous lawful-evil character, and you "can rely on him." It was a little difficult at times; he sometimes argued with someone good, but it was okay.
