17.11.2010 Neverminder (Blue, Necropolis, Galthran, Galthran) def Legionerdv (Red, Castle, Valeska, Valeska) 2sm4d(3) 131 In general, here's how it went. On the random map I had to take Necropolis, because giving it to red would be an immediate GG. At first I decided to take Clavius as my starter. It worked out well: Galthran with two stacks immediately appeared in the tavern, followed by Vokial and Tant. But they banned this lucky roll for me. In the second generation (I don't experiment with the starter anymore after that) red took 111, I didn't even see anything. In the third generation I was given Isra, at 111 I upgraded the skeletons and went to war first with Isra, then with Gosha. But I didn't fight for long, as I ran into a horde of Castle archers with an upgraded stack and lost quite a lot against them. Took 113. In the 4th generation a miracle happened: I spawned on the swamp. True, the respawn was blocked by a horde of storm elementals, and along one road there were orc chieftains that I didn't want to fight either. But fortunately, that road led to GO, and the secondary guard I got was boars. Though on grass, not swamp. Anyway, on the first day I visited the stables and approached the boars. Built a converter. On the second day I upgraded the skeletons and went to crush everything. Sorcery became expert already at level 3, lucky me. The secondary turned out to be Rampart-aligned, I took it on the 4th day. Built a tavern, a horde [building], elves and their upgrade there by the end of the week. In my home town I built horses in the fort. On day 117 Galthran took the Spirit of Despair (very handy against Valeska). By the end of the week I had 73 upgraded skeletons and 107 regular ones. I have Haste in my spellbook. I want Air Magic. But I got Tactics instead. In the second week I got more skeletons from the hero and from the castle, 14 grand elites, killed the orcs, visited a crypt which gave an artifact +5% to Necromancy, and ran underground. I arrived there on day 124, and found red's secondary town, and not just any secondary, but a Necropolis. I thought: this is where I'll get crushed. But no attack came. On day 125 I brought horses and liches and stopped being afraid. Killed the trolls for the prison and an artifact +1 to speed. Got Air Magic (hooray!) and Logistics. Equipped the Necklace instead of the Amulet of the Undertaker. On the sixth day I attack the Necropolis, where Malekith is holed up with skeletons, zombies, troglodytes, and harpies. In a citadel, unfortunately. I lost about 40 skeletons there. I holed up to refill mana. On day 127 I scouted red's starting respawn. On day 131 with no growth, Valeska without a spellbook (4-9-5-5) attacks Galthran (5-4-4-4). And I have Haste. Unfortunately, only advanced. I hide this fact for a while, red corners the archers in one corner and the monks in another, and starts shooting my liches and grand elites. But in the second round comes a move-surprise for them: Haste on the skeletons, which, after taking retaliation, kill three horses. The dread knights are also on the ball and got pretty close. In the third round, Haste on the dread knights, the skeletons finish off the Castle horses, and my horses hit the archers left without cover, while also blocking them. After that, 25 knights put up some resistance, but soon red surrendered. On my turn I didn't attack the Castle, I went for upgrades, and word of the capitulation came. Thanks for the game and an interesting FB!
