Maybe I'm just not very bright, but I don't understand the difference between the proposed tournament and just saying, "Hey, let's play online." I could play against SDV (or anyone else), declare it a tournament, post a report on a website (or somewhere else), and proudly wear the title of winner of some tournament in the second Heroes game, right?
Playing is a plus, meeting up and playing in person is a huge plus, but why all the extra complications?

I'm not against meeting up and playing. Without Izhevsk, without the magazine, in a small Heroes community.

...But how do you propose Dustu and Mike come to an in-person meeting? They wrote that it's impossible due to financial reasons. Plane tickets are too expensive.

...Can we find a room for playing for 3 days, an apartment for several people to stay in, and laptops in Moscow?

These are my main questions, the simplest ones, without which there's no point in continuing the conversation.

As for my concerns about popularizing the game and the underlying ideas, I can set them aside without any problems. :) Organizing an in-person championship and watching the games would also be great. But the tournament should definitely only include those who write good reports! Along with save files, that would be decent.
