Great idea, Prorock!
The only thing that bothers me is the ranking system based on difficulty level, for example:
A player takes 1st place on the "high" difficulty level and 2nd place on the "insane" difficulty level! So how does that work? After all, 2nd place on the "insane" difficulty level is higher than 1st place on the "high" difficulty level!
I think it wouldn't be quite right to give this player 1st place on the "high" difficulty level, knowing that they took 2nd place on the "insane" difficulty level!
Maybe I'm wrong…
Or is 1st place, 1st place, even in Africa?:)
P.S. Once we make a final decision regarding my argument, we will definitely make amendments to the rules proposed by Prorock! Thank you for the suggestion!;

My opinion is this: I, to be honest, don't really see much difference between the easy and insane levels. I'm already used to the fact that if I want to build something quickly, I'll complete everything on time, no matter what. The only problem arises with purchasing...:)
And the difference between high and insane is even less, and for many, it won't be significant at all!
Well, if we get down to business, I'll say that you are RIGHT:
"...1st place is 1st place, even in Africa?:)"
Indeed, because only the Winner will receive a Certificate!
And nothing is due for 2nd place.
I think many would choose 1st place on high, rather than 2nd on INSANE!
PERSONALLY, I WOULD MAKE THAT CHOICE, and it wouldn't offend me.
And it wouldn't offend me because I was competing for 1st place on the insane level, and in this fierce competition, I lost (BUT I TRIED!).
But I won on the high difficulty level (which is only slightly lower in rank).
AND THIS IS EXACTLY THE SITUATION I DESCRIBED EARLIER: The tournament helped this player OBJECTIVELY assess their strengths. Yes, they didn't win the MAIN prize, but their prize is also VERY WORTHY, and most importantly, they will have something to STRIVE FOR!!!
