Interesting riders were created for the humans. But it makes sense that the horses aren't ordinary, since all the creatures in the other castles are magical. So, why should humans be any different? Now they can better resist their enemies.
Yes, indeed. The riders could very well be champions. In that case, it might happen that all of the human elite will be flying units (griffins, daughters, and angels). Or are griffins in the first tier? I don't remember.
