It happened. Still the same noob I was, and no freebies came my way :smile39: ...
On the 1st, I searched for wood for a long time, which caused me to attack demons for a small pile of it without upgrading elves, where I lost most of the army (including 2 dendroids, a couple of elves, half the centaurs, all the dwarves). I didn't take the rest only because of the Griffin Conservatory along the way (but it turned out to be just a mini :( ). I broke through to the rocks, but blundered and turned back with a power-stacked main hero, and the noob got stuck behind a block, so I ended up without secondary skills on the 1st. I barely built up to 1-6 in the citadel plus a marketplace by day 117.
On day 121, an angel. Then long noob-maneuvers around and about, another mini Conservatory :D and a couple of caches of pegasi - that was all the fat... The passage to the treasure zone was from the rocks, but into the snow, and there, like an advertisement, stood an instant Bag of Gold - a dream come true. I simply ignored such "prospects" without Pathfinding (all game, it wasn't even offered :mad: ). Had problems with speed, 1 logistician - Deesa - who needs such a parody of a hero (from the expansion)? No stables, no artifacts, no skills on the main hero.
On the 3rd, near the end, they finally gave Logistics, but I still entered the snow through another secondary hero and got bogged down there; the best thing I got was 30000 XP behind a crystal node (had Learning). No hives, no drowned ones. Artifacts - majors one after another, I saw 1 relic all game - a Titan's Cuirass deep in the snows that would have cost me a good part of my army without mass magic. I broke into another treasure zone, where - oh wonder! - the branches of the Treant's Stand were visible (as it turned out after the game, already consumed by Valentin). But then they came and beat me, the finale wasn't needed (45 grand elves, 9 unics, 6 ducks, 2 angels, and a bunch of silver units with stats something like 17-18-10 - just to make you laugh :o , even a cut growth wouldn't have changed anything...).
