And precisely because there are only bots there, Navukh couldn’t find players. And that’s the only reason. Don’t think that few people want to play with him.

I just checked the VT forum, from October 5th to November 5th, there are 5 pages of reports with 25 entries each – a total of 126/2 = 63 games per month, or 2 games per day :) That’s a lot!

Right now, 19 pairs are playing on GR.
Of course, there are cheaters there too, but more people play there without ratings, without any reason to cheat.
