In my opinion, it's much more impressive than the lady with spider legs and an unknown backstory.
It's subjective. In general, this conversation boils down to an exchange of opinions with rather far-fetched arguments, primarily based on affection or dislike for one of these two creatures.
So, I would like to see the Sphinx as the champion.
But I would still prefer to see the Sphinx as the strongest.
I like the Sphinx much more.
Fat, thick, domestic, fluffy cat.
For example, I am much more interested in the question of whether all creatures in the Castle will be undead. Judging by the description, liches take some kind of elixir that prolongs their life, i.e., they are living creatures. I'm even afraid to guess what they will come up with for the Sphinx, but the spider lady definitely doesn't look like an undead creature. Ghouls, in general, are not necessarily undead, judging by mythology.
