Did the graphics of Heroes 3 not deter you from wanting to play?

When I first saw HoMM 3, I almost threw up. Everything looked so gaudy and crooked. I tried to play, forcing myself, but the graphics were so off-putting that I couldn't get past an hour. Still, I don't regret it; the game isn't that great anyway.
