Besides, elves are more common and traditional than mages; they are everywhere. Considering that many criticize Ashan for being unoriginal, elves fit in very well there.

In the first, second, and third parts of Heroes, there were no elves as a faction; there was only a unit. The factions were sorceresses and, in the third part, forest creatures (Rampart). They fully formed as a faction in the fourth, if not the fifth, part.

Regarding adequate characters in the Adepts: The All-Seeing One (although not much is known about him), Inoel, the main characters of the third part, and Tor'ak.
