28.10.2010 Oelm(red, Castle, Adela, Shakhti) def Neverminder(blue, Rampart, Roland, Kyrra) 135 Anarchy SoD 160% muddy roads.
The start was very average in terms of gold, so few heroes on the first day and I don't even know what to do. But on the respawn, right from the start, I revealed two Griffin Conservatories, an external dwelling of unics, and picked up a Sword +2+2. My opponent has Luna shining her face in the tavern, but if you respawn something like that, then what's the point of playing at all? So, I stay. The fifth or sixth hero was Kyrre, I decided to make her my main. But for now, the Diplomat is leading, while Kyrre runs around picking up Knowledge stones and other stat boosters. Along the way, she captures an empty native village on day four. There, in the first week, I build a tavern, fort, Elves, and Wood. In the main town, 1-6 without Dwarves at the Citadel. As I scout the respawn, it turns out there aren't two, but five Conservatories, two of which are on 2-4, and three on 3-4. That means at least 13 Angels, and up to 20. If he builds them, that is. At the end of the first week, the Diplomat recruited 40 Master Gremlins, and Kyrre, not without their help, took the external Unicorn dwelling on 117. And right away she spotted an external dwelling of Elves nearby. She runs there and reaches it, since she visited the Stables. I scare off the guards, buy the Elves, next to it is a Pandora's Box behind Gnolls.
There were Grands 20-49 standing on the respawn, guarding a Dragon Utopia. I decided to try and recruit them with the Diplomat on 121. I almost completely emptied the secondary town and the capital to make the army look more impressive; the Pandora's Box gave 5000 gold, I run to the Grands. Hooray! They joined, and for free, 42 of them. On day 122, I have 89 Grands, and I understand that Angels are coming. Over the following days, Kyrre sequentially took five Conservatories, and then on day 126, the Dragon Utopia. However, the Utopia was a mini, and it essentially only gave the Dragon Armor. According to the Thieves' Guild log, at this point I was ahead of Shakhti both in stats (12-15) and army (14 Angels, 89 Grands), so I rushed to find my opponent. But while I was looking for him, he built Archangels, acquired Dimension Door, and I realized I couldn't win this match, because after visiting the Underground Cartographer, I saw Shakhti jumping around and grabbing various goodies, plus he had a Diplomat to boot. And Kyrre was never given Diplomacy. Out of frustration, I scared Luna off as a last resort, ran aimlessly, stumbled upon a level-3 Dragon Utopia, in which it killed only 28 Elves and 15 Centaurs, which surprised me immensely, and it gave a Gladius and a Necklace. My stats became 30-17, but that was poor consolation against Shakhti the Diplomat with 4 Dimension Doors. I surrendered.
Thank you, Pavel, for the game!
P.S. A bit unlucky: I didn't find a Hill Fort in the first two weeks. 14 (and a bit later 16) Archangels could have pulled it off. But it wasn't meant to be.
