If you played NWN2: MotB and didn't like it, that says more about you than about the game's expansion.
The expansion is still relatively decent, but there's no atmosphere of the Forgotten Realms. Among the companions, Okku and Gann are good, but the rest are mediocre. I didn't like the original game in the first place, and the expansion fixed some of its flaws. Besides, the writers didn't bother to properly research the lore, and there are so many inconsistencies and contradictions with the established world, starting with the sword Gith and ending with the Shadow King.
KotOR 2 is also very good, even though it's unfinished.
KotOR is an exception, yes. And the fact that it's unfinished is the main criticism.
Well, and again, the idea of managing your own castle is interesting.
The idea isn't original, and it's poorly executed.
By the way, I also played Morrowind and found it to be a very boring and uninteresting game, without any of the charm of Morning, and what now?
You don't appreciate atmosphere in games, that's all.
If you played Morrowind and didn't like it, that says more about you than about the game.
