I don't think so. Demons wouldn't recognize them as their own; they are humans ;) And as for being demon commanders... Hmm... I'll keep quiet about that...

Humans are curious creatures. If they became fascinated with studying necromancy, why wouldn't they study demons? And demons, in turn, could use them as additional cannon fodder and a way to summon additional reinforcements on the battlefield. Therefore, I think demonologists would look good, especially at lower levels, or at least as neutrals.

This example has already been given. Hell Knights are humans, elves, and dwarves. So why can't a Demonologist be a commander-mage? But in any case, these are just fantasies.
