Reputation should either be removed or changed to what Sneg suggested, i.e., remove disapprovals and leave only approvals. But, ultimately, it's better to remove it altogether. In any case, a person will remember who approved or disapproved them (if not the first time, then the second, third, etc.) and will want to somehow reward (punish) the person who approved (disapproved) them. That person, in turn, can also react to this approval (disapproval) in some way, and... it goes on and on))). There are absolutely no people who don't pay attention to reputation at all, even if they say so!! Take me as an example))). I don't chase reputation, but I do pay attention when my messages, in which I'm joking, are negatively evaluated. For me, my joke (and luckily, there are other people besides me) is obvious ))). But for some (I won't name names; (one of the favorite emoticons of one :) of these people)) my jokes are not only incomprehensible but also seem stupid))). As a result, they, without understanding (or because of a rejection of criticism), give me (and not only me) a disapproval. It's a little upsetting)). I finally decided (not immediately) to test their reaction to an inadequate assessment of their messages. What happened next, you all know)).
But let's forget about this story. I didn't want such a resonance. We really need to find something simple to do together, but not just talk. Due to the specifics of our forum, we simply need to play (this has been said dozens of times) as a whole forum. We need to make spending time on our forum interesting. Create a regular forum championship (with a schedule), create a Player Rating, and a forum team. Wouldn't it be interesting to at least cheer for your team in a tournament between forums? And participating in such a tournament, having qualified for it based on the results of the forum tournament, would be much more pleasant than simply submitting an application. After all, not only you and your friend would be rooting for you, but the whole forum.
