Points are just numbers. IMHO, when a game turns into statistics, it becomes uninteresting.

I agree, the pursuit of numbers turns players into monsters, ready to earn more points at any cost. Why, esteemed gentlemen, why... Play for fun... ;) (tournaments don't count).
