If you don’t want to remove the reputation system entirely, you can remove only the “Disapprove” button. As a result, a good post can earn you a positive reputation point, while a bad post will only receive a response (in the same thread or in a private message). There are very few people with negative reputation on our forum, so removing the “Disapprove” button won’t make things worse. If you write a lot of helpful content, you can have a good reputation; if you write a lot of nonsense, you can have a neutral reputation. Maybe I’m missing something, but this seems like an optimal solution to the problem. :)
