After casting a spell in the 1st round, it says that I can't retreat because I used magic, and that's it, Valkyrie is gone, I need to learn War Training.

I almost lost once because of this bug. It's not War Training's fault, but the "Limit Hit-and-Run" checkbox. If you disable it, everything will be like in SOD. And in general, it should be removed, IMHO.
