Well, Kyle, there's a viewpoint that God only created the world and then no longer interferes in its affairs. It's called deism. It was very popular during the Enlightenment. But personally, I don't quite believe in it.
And why don't you believe it? In my opinion, it fits very well... if you judge by the history of mankind...
