No, you don't want to help the town of Arandor; you're just grasping at straws to avoid being executed. Mafki is a maniac, and they didn't kill you just so they'd have someone to execute during the day. If I were 100% sure that Verwolf was Mafia/Maniac, or someone else, I would execute him without hesitation, but no, it's impossible to tell who's who. The situation is very bad for the town; it's never been this bad. If I'm not mistaken, there are only three town members left, and that's a complete disaster.
