Frenzy Attack 2 Tournament

The tournament is open to the first 64 players who have a Luftganz account.

By signing up and agreeing to all the terms and rules of the tournament, you declare your participation. If you do not play your games due to your own fault, the admins have the right to punish you as follows:

-30 units (for something I didn't quite understand) for missing the first 3 rounds (first stage)
-50 units (for something I didn't quite understand) for missing the next 5 rounds (second stage)
(this could be like our database, by the way, a good practice for those who sign up but miss games in tournaments)

The tournament has 2 stages and 8 rounds.
1. Group stage – includes the first three rounds.
2. Final stage – includes the last five rounds

All games must be played according to the Luftganz rules, using the expert version, with special files for this tournament, which should be copied into the data directory.

Group Stage

Games are played on 2sm4d(3) L+U 130%, no water, strong monsters, 6 minutes per turn. Players will be randomly divided into 16 groups of 4 players each.

Here is a description of the first three rounds.

1. Round 1 – the first pair will be randomly determined using a league system (simultaneously with the random determination of groups). After the first round, regardless of the outcome of the battle, no one leaves the tournament.
2. Round 2 – the winners of the first round in their group play against each other to take a better position in the next round. The losers in the first round play against each other to stay in the tournament (a loss by one of the losers (in the first round) means that they are eliminated from the tournament). The player who wins the first two rounds takes first place and does not need to fight in the third round, but simply waits for the second stage (a two-week break).
3. The third round is only for players with one win and one loss. This is the last chance to reach the second stage. The winner advances to the second stage. The loser leaves the tournament.

Each of the rounds in the first stage lasts two weeks (no longer!!!!!!!)

Final Stage

All games are played on the 2sm4d(3) L+U 160% map, no water, strong monsters, 8 minutes per turn, with the principle of castle denial.

Here are the features of the final stage.

1. Round 4 (1/16 finals) – 16 players who won the first two rounds in the group stage and did not lose any games play against the remaining players (who won twice and lost once in the group stage). The winners advance to the 1/8 finals.
2. Round 5 (1/8 finals) – 8 pairs in a tournament bracket. The winners advance to the quarterfinals.
3. Round 6 (quarterfinals) – 4 pairs in a tournament bracket. The winners advance to the top four.
4. Round 7 (semifinals) – 2 pairs in a tournament bracket. The losers do not need to play anymore.
5. Round 8 (finals) – the winner becomes the official winner of the Frenzy Attack 1 tournament and receives a premium Luftganz League account for the next season. The loser officially leaves the tournament. After the final, the results are announced, and the top four are honored in the news. The losers in the semifinals can play for third place on L or XL, but their game must end before the final game begins (mention this in the news). If both players agree, the final match can be played to 2 wins. Then they will get two additional weeks for this.
