I didn't think of that, but Ubisoft also has smart people, and the failure of Heroes of Might and Magic V made them think. Although, for a PC-exclusive, selling 1 million copies of the game seems acceptable.
They wouldn't make two expansions for a failed game, plus a total of 2 million copies were sold. Considering that the game is only for PC and has no DRM, that's quite acceptable, and Nival even made $10 million from the fifth installment. However, it seems that Ubisoft is trying to adapt the Heroes series to more modern gaming standards to appeal to a larger number of players.
