... I can't vouch for him because I don't know him personally; we only met once online in a random Kostyan tournament, where he disappeared and didn't finish the final game – not exactly a good sign.
Preds asked for clarification. Let's call it "unsportsmanlike behavior."

Yes. The final, as far as I understand, will be after New Year's. Just letting you know in advance that from January 3rd to 7th, I will most likely be in Kingisepp, and I will also need a few days to recover afterward.

Okay, the holidays are coming to an end, but the decisive game hasn't been played yet... My mistake here: I didn't set any deadlines myself. Well, I decided not to be too strict - given the general recovery from the holidays and many other important and interesting Tournaments, I give you until January 31st, 2010 inclusive – otherwise, friendship wins.
Just to reiterate, I acknowledged his defeat on January 19th, i.e., two weeks before Kostya's specified deadline.
For reference: at the same time, I let someone pass ahead without playing against them in the HP cup, withdrew from Lyubimchikov-2, and conceded in a postponed ORP match on Bay Solo, where my position was quite good.
Advice: if you have complaints about someone, express them directly; sometimes it helps to better understand the situation.
Regarding Pete's claims: I discussed this topic with those I deemed necessary via ICQ.
P.S. I don't dispute the hosts' decision because:
