Yes, and in Heroes of Might and Magic V, there's a lack of mega-dragons. In Heroes of Might and Magic III, it was cool to attack, for example, the Azure Dragons with thousands of troops. It was quite a bloodbath:D
Heroes of Might and Magic V would be improved by having mega-monsters (although you can create them yourself).
