Favorites, to battle! - 3

Why is navigation needed in Fortress? There's no water there. I know that in Tower and Fortress, people take it for some reason, but why?

Scouting + movement = a great explorer: 200/400/600 movement points, essentially a log on a
speed boost + a super scout with 5 vision and a kind of teleportation:)

2) Conflux Castle, can you recruit fairies, birds, or psionic creatures, or not?
... any other suggestions?
If nothing is suggested, I'll leave it as is.

I think Fortress players will figure out what's best themselves. But as a standard, the upgrades for Conflux aren't that powerful. As practice shows, the much-praised psionic creatures don't often reach the upgrade stage, let alone the fairies... a horde of upgraded vivs on a Brogue looks scarier.
