Um, with neither the Psychics nor the Air Elementals did the level 122 upgrade manifest at all, since 5 Psychics and 17 Air Elementals were purchased additionally; I don't think having 2 or even 3 stacks of level 1 Pixies was critical for capturing the Griffin Conservatory. Morale? — it wouldn't have mattered much there either. But the fact that in Shadow of Death, Monere provides a speed and stat bonus only to upgraded Psychics (and upgrading them, as we all well remember, is forbidden) — that's a real dirty trick.
