You can come up with many different beastmen, but the 5th faction should still be led by some creature, whose population would actually form the faction. So, the statement about a "beastmen faction" is not specific enough; it could be a faction of gnolls or minotaurs, or even nagas.

It is quite possible; perhaps beastmen were created during that period, and other factions are not mentioned. It's possible that the nagas arrived, and the beastmen joined them, because in later parts, beastmen are no longer associated with the mages but are found with other factions. Although there is nothing written about their rebellion in the history either :smile11:. Beastmen simply fit the history most logically.

P.S. Minotaurs are also a product of the mages, who later escaped to the Dungeon and were then conquered by T.E. So, if there is a Dungeon and no gnomes with T.E., then the 5th faction will be an underground one.
