A number of additions: * New unit level system Units are no longer divided into levels based on strength; they are now divided into 3 categories: Core, Elite, and Champions. The first 2 categories have 3 units each, and there will also be 1 champion unit. For example, in Haven, the archer and spearman will be comparable in strength, although both will belong to the core category.
* Damage to structures during sieges Unit squads can now damage siege structures, although not as effectively as catapults.
* Presence of non-combat units on the global map Turtles, dolphins, birds, etc. (These are simply decorative animals on the strategic map, like the birds in Heroes 5).
Translation of EVERYTHING that the French insider said on Archangelcastle.com (a French Heroes Community):
- The 4th faction will be announced in November. It has been mentioned before.
- The 5th faction will be new and will only be announced in January.
- Creatures belonging to the same category (core, elite) will have similar stats, but their special abilities will determine their role on the battlefield.
- During a siege, you will be able to place a squad of archers on the main tower of the castle.
- Moats will be reintroduced.
- Creatures will have active and passive abilities (for example, Griffins will have a "Dive" ability).
- A kind of "line of sight" system will be used in battle (a shot that damages all creatures standing in a line, like the mages in Heroes 5).
- Creatures will not be allowed to move on the global map without a hero.
- Focus points and the system for recruiting creatures from dwellings are designed to emphasize the development of the main Hero, instead of focusing on secondary heroes and creating chains of them.
- The Phoenix will be a neutral creature. It will be blue, as it is associated with the Moon. (Ubisoft is creating its own bestiary for the Might & Magic universe).
- Rebuilding cities will be very expensive and will take several turns (the exact number is not specified). The player will be able to stop the city conversion process by attacking the city and interrupting the process (it is not specified whether this will happen automatically or whether you will need to click on something).
- During city conversion, buildings common to all cities will not be destroyed (market, tavern, town hall).
- At the beginning of each map, scrolling will show the "landmarks" of that map (similar to King's Bounty, when you first visit a new island).
- Boss battlefields will have a "special" design.
- A lot of work has been done on the animation of each creature: passive, dealing damage, receiving damage (it seems that the griffins roar terribly :) ).
- Svetlana has a sexy voice :):D
It was also written somewhere that the 4th faction will be a faction known to us from previous HoMM games, and the 5th faction will be completely new to the series.
O God of Earth and Altar, Bow down and hear our cry, Our earthly rulers falter, Our people drift and die, The walls of gold entomb us, The swords of scorn divide, Take not thy thunder from us, Take away our pride.
