I don’t really play with summons myself, but our guild has both summoners and chaos mages, so theoretically, a dark elf should have access to two schools of magic. What’s wrong with, for example, the Phoenix spell for a Warlock? Or Phantoms? Besides, the opponent might have a lot of artifacts and perks to protect against magic, so then you’ll have to use summons to compensate for the relative weakness of dark elves in melee combat.
