They also have their drawbacks, which ultimately lead to defeat.
Yes, but what's the benefit of having a lot of knowledge, say, for mages?
That's the whole point: for example, in the third game, you need to play as mages earlier, when your warrior opponent doesn't yet have incredibly high attack/defense or expert magic, but you have Mass Heal and Magic Bolt with decent damage in your arsenal. :) Although, in general, mages will be weaker in random games (with some exceptions).
If they made it so that the more knowledge you have, the greater the chance of casting spells multiple times in one round!
That's a good idea. I liked the ability in King's Bounty to upgrade higher magic and cast 2 spells per round. But there's a risk of becoming too similar to King's Bounty, and they've already introduced bosses. Again, the main thing is not to overdo it. :)

Let's say you could buy many heroes and build long chains with them so that you could use them to speed up the process.
Speeding up and chains are definitely good, but most of the current trash-talking online players will look at this new feature and continue to play the good old third game. IMHO.
But not like this - I played against everyone and won. Noobs, in a word.
Play online on HotA - you'll definitely find worthy opponents. ;)
