Without artifacts - yes. With artifacts - it's fine, there's still an advantage in terms of army and stats (which is evident from the tavern). And, as we agreed, the player simply forgot (or didn't have time) to equip the artifacts.
Yur, you know yourself – rearranging the units at the end of the turn and changing artifacts has long been done automatically by everyone.
even when you're just running down the road forward into the darkness – you switch from fighting neutrals to fighting the opponent.
Here, the opponent is clearly close – you can only fail to prepare if you're sure there won't be a battle... or if something is wrong with your brain – but how do they manage to win with such glitches?
P.S. And, Yur, don't forget: you defend yourself freely, boldly, and expansively because you have nothing to lose ;)
Maphacking itself is inherently underhanded, a scoundrel (even an in-game one) clearly isn't comfortable with boldness and won't be able to defend himself like that, even if his life depended on it... well, and if there's underhandedness with audacity, then the maphack would be even more blatant, more obvious, and wouldn't need to be proven, it would be evident anyway... the only thing to be afraid of is underhandedness, audacity, and intelligence in one package!.. but IMHO, such a combination is impossible in principle – the subject demonstrates a synthetic case, where one messes up, and the other covers for him, even though he wouldn't mess up himself even under the threat of a permanent ban :D :D :D
