this might work when the game is in a non-confrontational phase.
but when you're heading for a definite confrontation, a bit of adrenaline does flow into your blood, doesn't it?
you didn't forget to equip your creatures with artifacts for the Fortress Fight, did you? and here, there's a potential Fortress Fight – if the red player has any of the items for crossing the hill ;)
hence, there's a sense of calm based on the confidence that the opponent doesn't have and won't have any means of crossing the hill!
For example, if you believe that Vasya is 30% likely to be poisoning your milk, that's enough reason to stop associating with him. But that's clearly not enough to bring him to justice in court.
The same applies here – you made an assumption, even if it's quite likely, but are you willing to claim that it will always be true (or at least with a probability of 95% or higher)? I highly doubt it. For example, I haven't felt any adrenaline while playing Heroes for a long time.

What's the bug in passing through the Treasury in Might and Magic 3? I don't see it.

this isn't the right way – go into battle and think as much as you want... you can also go to the bathroom, have a smoke, and take a trip to the nearest brothel around the corner if you're feeling restless :D :D :D
Tell me, am I understanding your point correctly – you're claiming that in a game at 8 minutes, time can't run out, no matter what happens, right?
And the second point – you're claiming that no player, under any circumstances, will forget to equip artifacts and position themselves for battle when jumping towards the opponent, right?
