I missed a lot in the second turn, including raising demons. Can someone explain to me in enough detail how to raise them correctly to achieve the maximum result?

as far as I know, Pit Friend raises demons that disappear after the battle! At least in classic 3, it's like that, or am I wrong???
And in WoG, as I imagine, they decided to keep this bonus even after the battle, right?
I want someone to shed light on this issue from the very beginning PLEASE!
