Let's calculate the damage for 20 creatures:
- Titans: 20 units x 30 damage = 600 damage, and abilities that reduce magic damage are ignored;
- Thunderlords: 20 units x 10 damage = 200 damage, and the damage from ranged attacks of enemy units is reduced by 20%.
Therefore, we can conclude that Titans will deal 600 damage to a single unit, while Thunderlords will guaranteed deal at least 200 damage to each unit within 9 cells of the game field.
But: Titans will definitely deal damage, while units can move out of the range of the Thunderlords' attack... So, using one or another upgrade should be carefully considered.
But in my opinion, Titans are still more effective... And Thunderlords probably start "winning" against Titans when there are more than 50 of them, but I don't think it will come to that in a real game...
