Don't inflate your rating in ranked matches by consistently winning against players who are significantly weaker.

In my opinion, if you only want to play against strong players, posting messages like "looking for a game" on the forum is pointless. All game requests should be targeted and selective, sent via ICQ (to the players you consider strong – I assume you have a mental list of their ratings).

The forum attracts a very diverse crowd, and mostly beginners respond immediately. And with an ICQ list of 200+ players and mass messaging (like "hey, want to play?"), I think it's a bit strange to use the forum (although it's perfect for newcomers). Unless you're completely desperate.

I agree with Oelm.

The rating shouldn't reflect skill – one player plays against beginners, while another seeks strong opponents; the first player's rating will likely be higher.

No rating can 100% objectively reflect the strength of the players. Everyone knows their favorite heroes by sight anyway.

For example, Decontaminator, Scorp, and others – where are they in the rankings, and what is their level of play?
